In the desert this week we have been investigating forces and motion! Please try this at home :) All you need is 1.) a long string 2.) a straw 3.) a balloon 4.) some sticky tape. First thing you need to do is attach the string to a door knob or similar. Next, cut the straw in half and thread it onto the string. Next, blow up the balloon and hold it tight. Tape the balloon to the straw and wait for the countdown. When you hear 'Go'- let go of the balloon, but keep the string taut. Watch it fly! We had so much fun racing against each other. The children chose which Chinese animal they wanted to be in the race. Have fun trying this at home!
