In the desert we have also been experimenting with marble runs and rockets. You can also make these rockets at home - all you need is 1.) a sturdy paper cup (takeaway coffee cup) 2.) a balloon 3.) some tape 4.) a pom pom or ping pong ball or similar. First, cut the bottom out of the cup. Then cut a slit at the top of the balloon and stretch it over the bottom of the cup. Tape around the balloon to secure it. Place a pom pom or a ping pong ball in the cup...... and PULLLLLLLL the balloon!!!!! Launch the ball into the air over and over again!
