This week we have been exploring time during our carpet session in the Puffin Room.
Designing and making our own crafts in the Savannah Room. Here the children have access to a variety of creative resources and they can build and design anything their imaginations will let them!

Also in the Savannah Room this week Ms Amalia has been introducing the children to the Artist Jasper Johns. He painted letters and numbers in beautiful blocks of colour.
The children have been using letters from their own names to create their own Jasper Johns inspired art work.
It is very busy in the Savannah as we have also been building a Volcano using papier-mâché! We needed to rip up lots of newspaper and let in soak. Then we mixed in glue and now we are moulding our volcano shape around a bottle.
In the music corner of the Savannah the children are able to self access a variety of musical instruments independently.
In the Arctic the children have been practicing their cutting skills.
The Jungle Room also offers an office area where the children can come to write books, letters, posters or cards.
The children are also working collaboratively at the easel.
In the Desert Room the children have been exploring and investigating cranes and diggers.
Here we are looking at the worms we found in our digging patch outside.
We have also been making volcanos explode with Ms Patricia. We used Bicarbonate of Soda, red paint and vinegar. It looked very exciting.
Outside we have been investigating water with funnels and tubing.
We have made the most wonderful constructions with the big blocks.
We are also rememering to water the beautiful flowers in our large planters.
What an action packed week we are having already, and it is only Wednesday!
