Learning about shapes

This week we have been learning about 2 dimensional shapes. We have been sorting shapes, learning the names of shapes and some of the properties of these shapes such as the number of corners and sides. 

Playing a shape treasure hunt game with a dice and shape bean bags.

Fishing for shapes in the water tray.

Creating patterns and pictures with magnetic shapes.

Creating matching pictures with shapes.

Playing shape dominoes.

Using the iPads to take photos of shapes in everyday things around us.

Spin the spinner and trace over the same shape on the sheet.
